Wind power
Natural winds can be harnessed to turn wind turbines. This can be converted into a useful form as in electricity or kinetic energy to power pumps and other devices. The greater use of wind power is electricity and its worldwide popularity has increased five times between the years 2000 and 2007.
Wind power is used in large wind farms and connected to the utility grids or in small isolated applications to power pumps, gears or to use as electricity in a home or other small use.
When powering a home a wind turbine can work very well along with solar power. When the sun is not out often times it will be windy and when it is not blowing it will be sunny. Wind power is a great addition to any renewable energy plan.
